Showcasing Sonoma County’s Finest Growing Regions

We are passionate about crafting the most distinctive Cabernet Sauvignon Sonoma County has to offer. For more than three decades, we’ve been sourcing grapes from throughout this uniquely diverse growing region, where terroir ranges from steep mountain slopes to lower-lying hillsides and benchlands. Our experience in Sonoma County has allowed us to identify three AVAs where Cabernet Sauvignon takes on its most powerful terroir-driven expressions: Knights Valley, Alexander Valley, and Sonoma Valley.

Meet and learn from those who farm our vineyards.

Knights Valley
Knights Valley Vineyards

Tucked into the foothills of Mount Saint Helena on the remote eastern edge of Sonoma County, Knights Valley experiences a moderated climate, offering a longer and later growing season that develops dark fruit aromatics.

Arrowood Estate Vineyard
Arrowood Estate Vineyard

In the heart of Sonoma Valley lies our certified organic Estate vineyard. It features eight acres planted with Syrah, Merlot, Malbec, Grenache, Mourvèdre, Viognier and Petit Verdot.  The fruit from this vineyard form the core of select limited-quantity bottlings.

Monte Rosso Vineyard
Monte Rosso Vineyard

Originally planted in 1880, Monte Rosso (Red Mountain) was named for its bright-red, iron-rich soils.  Perched in the Moon Mountain AVA, 1,000+ feet above Sonoma Valley on the southwest slopes of the Mayacamas Mountains, this property produces Cabernet Sauvignon that is dark, complex and intense.

Justi Creek Vineyard
Justi Creek Vineyards®

This 35-acre certified organic vineyard sits on a southeast-facing slope, on a benchland site above Sonoma Valley. Arrowood sources two Cabernet Sauvignon clones from this vineyard. Clone 337 delivers pronounced black and red fruit flavors and aromatics while clone 15 provides structure and bold tannins.

Smothers-Remick Ridge Vineyard
Smothers-Remick Ridge Vineyard

Roughly 600 feet above the valley floor in the northern Sonoma Mountains, sits the Smothers-Remick Ridge Vineyard.  It features 18 acres of Cabernet Sauvignon divided into 11 distinctive blocks that mirror the terroir. Known for its small, flavorful berry, this mountain site produces balanced wines with refined tannins.

Saralee's Vineyard
Saralee's Vineyard

Located in Sonoma County’s cool Russian River Valley, Saralee’s Vineyard is one of the state’s marquee sites. Year in, year out, it yields some of our most flavorful wines. The key attributes of our Viognier and Syrah from this site are intensity, purity and bright acidity.

Alary Vineyard
Alary Vineyard

Located in the Russian River Valley, this 12-acre, hillside vineyard is surrounded by oak trees. Planted to the Robert Young, Rued, Dijon 76, Dijon 96, and “Z” clones of Chardonnay, this vineyard has been certified organic since 2011. The variety of clones in our Alary Chardonnay contributes to the complexity of this wine.
